Welcome to VMworld 2012 – “Won’t you save me San Francisco”

Moscone Center

The time has come for the annual #nerdherd that is #VMworld. This year (and for the next 10 due to an exclusive contract) the event is beind held at San Francisco’s Moscone Center.

This is my first foray into VMworld and from all appearances I, and my estimated 21,000 compatriots will not be let down. The event promises top notch talet from all over the world sharing their battle stories. These are our peers, actual individuals that have lived and breathed in the trenches and developed what have become Best Practices, and/or creative ways of dealing with problems we all face in our environments.

I hope to be able to share my observations through the week. I have high expectations, but it seems that the folks at VMware have custom tailored this event to meet and exceed those expectations.

Thats all for now. It’s time to goto the VCDX Defense Bootcamp, and the EMC’s #vOdgeball charitable event to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. Come on out and cheer on #TeamBacon, and say hi.
